C45 rods are quenched and tempered, induction hardened along the chrome lands, then coated with 0.05 mm hard chrome and ground to h7 with a center-line runout under 0.15 mm/m. The chrome surface is micro-cracked and lapped to Ra 0.2 so rod seals ride quietly over long strokes.
Cut-to-length, threaded ends, trunnion mounts and mid-port drilling are performed in-house on the same inspection plan. Straightness is verified between centers before every shipment.
